Declined tire purchase and the interaction changed immediately. I was told I needed a leaf spring repair, but not that the truck was unsafe to drive. After I got home, my husband found the rear axle bracket was detached from the frame and told me not to drive it. I was never warned it should be towed. I'm very fortunate this wasn't discovered after a failure at highway speed. I went back into the store with these pictures and asked how they could miss this when the truck was up on a rack for over an hour with an ASE certified mechanic looking at it, when my husband crawling in the gravel found it in less than a minute. They shrugged. I asked how they let me drive that out knowing how dangerous it was and that someone could have been killed. They shrugged. I asked why they didn't refuse to let me take it home other than on a tow truck as it was about 3 potholes away from failure and catapulting me into oncoming traffic. They shrugged. As I was leaving, I asked if losing their certifications were worth trying to have people killed. The manager yelled at me "oh they are!" I came to Firestone in Hilo last Sunday. I had a flat tire, we had already put the spare on so I need this to either fix my tire or get a new one. They said I needed a new one. They did not have, they can order. it would be there by Tuesday and I can come in on Wednesday and get it put on. So I made a 12:00 p.m. appointment for Wednesday. I told them I had it 2pm doctor's appointment that I needed to accommodate. They said that was fine it would be done long before that. Come Wednesday I show up at 11:25 a.m. They ask for the keys to my car, and say won't be ready until 2:00. Absolutely not, I said while making this appointment I told him I had a 2:00 doctor's appointment that this had to work around. So she said okay we'll do it by 1:30. I said okay that's fine but if I'm going to be here for that long, I need to run to the store and grab something to eat, I have health problems and I will literally start throwing up if I don't get some food in me. I need to remind you it was still like 11:35 and I wasn't supposed to be there till 12:00. Go to the store I get some food and by the time I come back it's actually 12:20. The online appointment process was easy and I received a follow up call within no time. I got an oil change and full inspection. They sent me an email with pdf attachment including photos of the areas of my car that needed work. The employees were super nice and helpful. Everything about my experience was great. I appreciate your fast and friendly crew!

I came in for a simple oil change, and even though the wait was much longer than expected, Anna C made the experience so much better. She was friendly, energetic, and genuinely helpful the entire time. Her great attitude and strong knowledge really stood out and turned a long wait into a pleasant visit.
